The Cult of Hecate: Colors
Within both the religion and the Magic system,
colors are very important in helping to direct and intensify the power of a
spell and gaining the favor of the Goddess in a follower's offerings. Three
implements that are usually found are candles, gemstones and runes, all of
which can be found in a variety of colors. Each color signifies something
different, as indicated below and should be used in combination with one
another:
Red: The color red is used to represent increasing
energy and strength, high passion, intense anger, and revenge against
wrongs done.
Orange: The color orange is used to represent
retribution, and success of casting,
Yellow: The color yellow is used to represent
learning new endeavors, persuasion, mind suggestion, reading emotions and
enchanting objects.
Green: The color green is used to represent physical
healing, abundance, growth, fertility and multiplying.
Blue: The color blue is used to increase wisdom,
casting the circle, clearing the mind, levitation, prophetic dreams, seeing into
the future
Purple: The color purple is used to increase power,
psychic ability, ambition, third eye, independence, seeing into the future
Silver: The color silver is used for telepathy,
clairvoyance, intuition, dreams, astral energy, reading the thoughts and
emotions of another
Black: The color black is used for protection,
repelling, binding, banishing, meditation, consecration and justice when seeking
retribution.
