Phases of the Moon
The phases of the moon are used by devoted members of this
cult to earn the favor of the Goddess Hecate. Each phase of the moon has a
different purpose from consecration of a new cult member to making offerings
that earn favor and power from the Goddess and intensifying magic
for certain spells.
Waxing Moon Magic
The Growing Moon
The waxing moon is for constructive
magic and new beginnings, such as love, wealth, success, courage, friendship,
luck or health. For the Cult, it is used for enhancing mind control spells and
devotion spells. New member induction’s and consecrating new implements are also
done during this time. It is also a time to thank the Goddess for other members
of the Cult and to ask her for success in things that one does.
Waning Moon Magic
The Vanishing Moon
The waning moon is used for banishing
magic, for ridding oneself of curses, illness or other unwanted presence's in
one's life. Also, knowledge, dreams, second sight are enhanced by an offering in
this phase.
Dark Moon Magic
The Absent Moon
This is the cycle in which worshipers
can seek the Goddess face to face to ask her advice, to receive orders or to
simply spend time in her presence being taught her ways. Newly inducted members
are presented for her approval and marking them as a Cult member is done. It is
also the time to offer a sacrifice to her for her guidance and protection in the
coming month.
New Moon Magic
Full Moon Magic:
Prime time for rituals for prophecy,
protection, curses and seeking spirits of the past or future. Any work that
needs extra power can be enhanced by giving an offering to Hecate. It is also a
time to simply not ask for anything, but to simply give an offering to the
Goddess in gratitude for all that she has done and to renew one's commitment to
her.
